JORDAN + CHANEL // A WEDDING ON FILM

this is going to be the easiest blog post to write. it’s basically writing itself.

my husband’s brother was getting married and i got to just be a part of the wedding as a guest, not their hired, official photographer. while i appreciated the freedom to just enjoy the day, i could still not resist bringing two cameras and used this opportunity to shot a wedding entirely on film.

i shoot film for myself, documenting my family; quiet moments at home, in-between moments on vacation, and on other such occasions. but shooting hired work on film is not something i have done up to this point. but i love shooting film. i like that i have a limited number of shots i can take, so i have to make them count. i documented most of the day’s highlights on two rolls of film; under 75 total shots. which means i had about 75 total photographs in the end. this post contains 67 of them.

i shot one roll on black and white film, and another in color. i converted the color shots to black and white as well, and here i’m sharing all my favorite black and white images from this day. i love the story it tells. i love these moments. i’m so excited to share it with you.
