my journey to appreciating the musical artistry of taylor alison swift has been long and winding.
i went from feeling too cool for a country singer who was my same age to secretly listening to her sophomore album on youtube to attending her 1989 world tour to hosting a taylor/1989 themed birthday party when she re-released her version of that album a few days before my birthday (and i was born in 89 so it just ~works~).
cut to me 12 hours before her latest album is released and i cannot help but prepare and celebrate and revel in her music, so i made a PDF as a guide while i prepare for and listen to the album, THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT.
as a girl who also found refuge and healing and processing by putting pen to paper in the form of lyrics and poems as a child, i can’t help but be EXTRA excited for whats in store with this new set of music.
