usually feelings of awkwardness come from being asked to do things you wouldn’t naturally do. a documentary approach is very ideal for the camera-shy. when we are both on the same page about what matters on a wedding day, you will feel more comfortable knowing you don’t need to perform for me, that what you do naturally is all i wanna see.

in these cases i like to get a few standard portraits and then give you ways to interact if you need ideas. but mostly i just keep it simple and feeling natural.

i am at my best when quietly observing, but i do see value in group photos and recognize that they are a part of most weddings. i’m happy to take some snapshots of you with your people if you’d like. i prefer a simple, casual approach and am happy to discuss what will work best for your wedding.

most of the work on my website was made digitally, though i do have a section of only film photos. i have photographed weddings with only film, only digital, and a mix of both. reach out to me if you are interested in film and we can discuss specifics.

i love the creative inspiration i get when photographing new places and will happily travel to your wedding. weddings in summit, salt lake, and utah counties have no travel fee. locations outside of these areas may be charged a travel fee to cover travel time and expenses. select locations may be eligible for a discount. inquire for more info!

most of my weddings i shoot solo. adding a second photographer can be a good idea if you have a large wedding, timeline constraints, or want more coverage (more angles, more variety, etc.) happy to discuss your situation and whether i think you could benefit from a second shooter at your wedding.

a signed contract and a 50% non-refundable deposit officially reserves your date, with the remainder due at least 3 weeks before your date. available payment options include credit card, bank transfer, and venmo.

7- i send you sneak peeks within 1 week of your wedding, with the full gallery delivered within 8 weeks

your images will be hosted in a personal online gallery sent to you via email. inside your gallery you can create favorites lists, download the photos, share the gallery, and order prints and products. many package options also include physical prints, albums, and galleries on USB drives.

extensive retouching is not usually aligned with my values nor a part of my process. when temporary items are distracting from a photo, i may remove them at my discretion. i encourage my clients to embrace what is and see the inherent beauty present, but am happy to help touch up small details.
