i met brooke through a mutual friend several years ago and have been following her career ever since. if you don’t know brooke smart, she is a gifted artist and internationally published illustrator. i was so excited when she reached out to me about photographing her wedding day, even though the thought of creating artistic work for fellow creatives can be a bit intimidating. she was planning a simple, laid back event with a ceremony at the Draper Utah LDS Temple with a reception afterwards at Washington Park. it was a day filled with lots of sunshine, laughs, hugs, gelato, custom designed enamel pins, gorgeous floral arrangements, playing carefree in the park, waffles, spilled strawberries, impromptu flower petal exits, and in the end: a beautiful, new, blended family. i could not be happier for this couple and their children. congrats, brooke and jeremy!
